I have had some incredible opportunities working in some exciting places such as Darwin and New Zealand. Whilst working in NT, I worked in the Royal Darwin Hospital and also joined a Research project which I was sent out in the Aboriginal communities in remote areas around NT. I loved the culture and being ‘with’ the families.
This then took me over to New Zealand where I went back into hospital midwifery practice. I worked in the North Island NZ for 2 years where I had the opportunities to experience their hospital system and birth centre system. My heart pulled me back to Australia and I have now settled in the beautiful Sunshine Coast where I always knew I wanted to live forever. I am grateful to have secured my dream job with Coast Life Midwifery working towards being a private midwife taking on my own caseload of clients. I also currently work at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
In my spare time, I have invested myself in my own personal growth and helping others in their life with becoming an accredited Life Coach. I went into the life coaching course to better understand and navigate my own growth but have come out of it being a more compassionate and understanding midwife and woman. It can be in the most challenging times that we really see our own strengths within.
I am passionate about the continuity and follow through within the maternity system. I have seen how different experiences can be for families when they have trust in their care providers and within themselves to navigate this chapter in their lives. I have a deep passion to empower women and their families an opportunity to really know their choices and feel empowered in their decision making having all the information. I love trusting in the wisdom of our bodies and the normality of the childbearing birthing process which creates united experiences.
I look forward to meeting with you and being a part of your journey to bring precious life into the world.
