Treatment Specialities:  Women’s health, pregnancy, paediatrics, men’s health, headaches, sports performance, musculoskeletal conditions, mental/emotional conditions, digestive and immune system disorders.

Background Theory:  Acupuncture is an energy based medicine.  We work with Qi, the vital force found in all living things.  In an acupuncture treatment we consider patterns in Qi movement as a measure of a persons dynamic vitality.  When qi is flowing correctly we are free of diseases, but when stagnations occur we can be vulnerable to many types of health issues.

Diagnostic methods:  Root treatment (detecting deficiency and excess in constitutional Qi patterns based around individual genetic predisposition); Pulse diagnosis; Tongue assessment; Palpitation and Hara Diagnosis (in the abdomen).

Tools and Methods in Treatment: Using gentle needling techniques, moxibustion and Shonishin (special tools for paediatric patients), we rectify imbalances, prevent further health decline and assist our patients to live a better life, full of strong and vital Qi flow.
